I'm so glad you enjoy my stories. I wish I had a more organized creative process, but I don't. I'm come to accept that after nearly thirty works. I start with a hook and attempt to plot out at least a few plot points or twists. While I'm doing this, I think about how I'd like to challenge my characters. then I cross my fingers and start writing. The end result is often very different from what I'd anticipated.

I am almost done with all of Kendra Elliott's series and I have completed the Rogue & Widow's Island series books from both you and her. I am about to go through all your series that I haven't reviewed yet and was wondering if there is any that are connected or a particular reading order you would recommend for the following series Bree Taggert, Morgan Dane, Scarlet Falls, She Can and Midnight?

Melinda, I really enjoy reading your & Kendra's books. You create strong & familiar characters throughout each series. Just a general writing question from a male reader. Why do so many authors in the romance genre keep repeating their fears, negative thoughts and/or perceived (or not) failures? As a audio book listener, I end up skipping forward 20 seconds or more at a time to get to the answer/point/etc.
