How difficult is it to move on when characters have been so loved? Morgan and Lance were wonderful and Bree is looking like she is a worthy protagonist but do you have to be stern with yourself and know it's time for a change?

It would have been easier to continue with the Morgan Dane series. I enjoyed working with them. But I also felt like I needed a fresh challenge.

Never had pleasure of reading your books but plan to begin the Bree Taggert series, but notice there is a prequel, “Her Second Death”, when is this prequel supposed to be read? My apologies, I am new to reading a series and want to get this right. Look forward to being a fan. Thank you.

Melinda, I really enjoy reading your & Kendra's books. You create strong & familiar characters throughout each series. Just a general writing question from a male reader. Why do so many authors in the romance genre keep repeating their fears, negative thoughts and/or perceived (or not) failures? As a audio book listener, I end up skipping forward 20 seconds or more at a time to get to the answer/point/etc.
