Melissa Peterson I believe what happened was that Karen realized that Jinny’s body hadn’t been dead long enough to show signs consistent with rigor mortis according to their timeline. So in essence, Jinny was still alive when they went to bed. They could’ve maybe called 911 or done CPR and saved her. Karen knew that but didn’t want to tell them, so she kept that guilty secret.
