How did you get into writing historical romance?

Glynnis Campbell I'd always been fascinated by knights and castles as a young girl. When a friend in high school introduced me to Kathleen Woodiwiss books, we decided we'd like to write one of our own. She hated writing, but loved history, so I plotted and she researched, but nothing came of our efforts. It wasn't until 20 years later that my interest in writing was renewed, and I wrote my first mega-book, which became the Knights of de Ware series.
