(view spoiler)[Have just completed a Corona virus binge of all the Muirwood audiobooks. You have created a beautiful rich world and Kate Rudd brings it to life. Almost quit when Argus died but continued, thinking there was good reason. My hopes rose at the epilogue, but sadly.... In my mind after crushing John Tate in a hug he pulls out a pack with 2 Boarhound pops sired by Argus.

Many readers have felt the way you do. They loved Argus too! I admit I was saddened by his death as well. As an author, I take pains to make the human drama as realistic as possible. Bad things happen to good people. Good things happen to bad people as well. As I wrote Argus, I wanted to make him as real of a dog character as I could.
Some backstory though. Jon Tayt is based on a real person who had a real dog. And his dog died. So sometimes fact enters fiction. I thought it made the story more compelling so I didn't change Argus' end.

Hi, I am re-reading all of your series and I just completed Kingfountain book 6. My question is who is the heir to Atabyrion? I thought it was Fallon, but with his willingness to stay behind in Muirwood, maybe not. I definitely feel like I missed something!

First, I want to say I have been a fan since I read the first Muirwood books. As a self-published author first, did you discover any disadvantages or drawbacks in negotiating your contract with 47 North? For example: Did they require you to pull all your books-on-demand and e-books for a certain amount of time prior to publishing those same titles under their banner? Very curious as to how that would work. Thank you.

Hey Jeff, I just finished The Poisoner's Enemy and loved your work, like usual. The end left me with many questions though and wondered if you would may be adding another Ankarette prequel at some point to fill in the gaps? Or maybe I need to reread The KingFountain series again because it's been awhile.
