I found your books after watching the Bones tv show and I was pleasantly surprised at how different they are (less comparison that way). Was that your choice or did the producers want a much more broken character?

Writing for television is very different than writing a novel. It's very much a collaborative process. TV Tempe is probably a younger version of book Tempe with a few minor differences.
