We've started reading your book in our book club in Melbourne. At the begging I was so attracted to the book. It was all my feelings that you articulated in words. Now, I am in the middle of the book and It is getting bored, I was expected to know more about your personal growth, while in the middle you are talking more about parenting. What is the general aim of this book?

There was a lot about parenting that I could not relate to as I am not a parent. But it picked up toward the end, as I could relate to much more in the last third (I think) of the book. This happens to me a lot with books that end up being a lot about parenting (Brene Brown is another example). I just can't relate and get irritated with the book because my husband and I can't have children. Someone recommended this book to me, so I listened to the audio book. I ended up liking a lot of it, but in the beginning I did think, "Oh great. Another book about being a mom." I guess I should have read the book description, because it quite clearly mentions being a "responsible mother."(less)
