This question contains spoilers…
(view spoiler)[I love Royce and Hadrian, but my favorite scene in Riyria is Lenare Pickering--elegant girly-girl--being given permission by her mother to be unladylike long enough to take out Sentinel Guy.
Have you considered a separate adventure in Riyria featuring the fascinating Pickering women? Maybe I should put a bug in your wife's ear, since she's the one who got you to give us more Hadrian! (hide spoiler)]

Hey Erinsie,
Sorry it's taken me so long to get to your question, I've been working through a backlog. Glad you like Lenare Pickering and that scene. I'll give you a bit of back story on it. But first....I'm having problems with the spoiler tag, so there is some spoiler stuff coming...if you haven't read Heir of Novron and want to avoid the spoiler stop now.
Originally Sentinel Guy died at the hands (or I should say mouth) of a Gilarabrywn.
When Robin read it she was quite upset. "Guy MUST die at the hands of a Pickering!" she insisted. I told her it wasn't possible. Mauvin wasn't in that part of the world and couldn't get there in any way that would make sense (he needed to be by Alric's side), and of course his father wasn't a viable option. She told me, "I don't care how you do it...just do it!" So I went back to the drawing board. Then it occurred to me, it could be possible to have Lenare and Belinda on the road traveling from Drondil Fields and so that scene was born - with a heavy dose of homage to "The Princess Bride" ;-)
In the Riyria Chronicle books, I did write about a "younger" Arista as well as younger Pickering brothers. It was a lot of fun seeing them in their early days.
I won't say "no" to your request, but I do have a number of other books that I have plans for at the moment. So, I'll take it under advisement and maybe get it on the ever expanding list. I'll mention the request to her, and see if she's willing to jump on the band wagon.

Hi Michael! Saw your answer to Britt's question about a possible tv adaptation of Riyria and that you have some names in mind for characters. If you could cast anyone for the show, who would you chose? My husband and I have a whole fancast for the series and it would be so cool if some of our ideas matched yours!

Dear Michael, my friends Mara Brewer and Roman S!delnik are the beginning writers. They have written a couple of books like "Softman" and others http://distribbooks.com/en/catalog.Their genres are fantasy, adventures, detectives. They are your fans and so am I. Could you write a review of "Softman" or advice somebody who could do this. Grateful in advance. Sincerely your, Isabella

Hello Michael, I'm a huge fan of the Riyra series, and just recently started reading the Legends of The First Empire and have become even more addicted! I love illustrating your characters as I see them in my mind, however I do have one specific question on the Fhrey's appearance. They have "tear drop" shaped eyes, but is the round part of the tear facing inwards or outwards on their face?
