Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Allegra Pescatore NACL: Eye of the Storm which is coming out September 17th 2020, was written in a haze of saltiness and fury. My lovely co-author E. Sands and I were very salty about something that happened, so we wrote a novel about angry pirates blowing up an actual mountain made of salt. It turned out to be a really fun ride. We are now marginally less salty. (This might have something to do with the 524 usages of the word fuck in the first raft of this book. Sometimes, writing a sentence entirely in swear words is exactly the catharsis required. Also what a character needs to vent her frustrations).
