The problem is that Audible has acquired an effective monopoly in the audiobook space, and keeps changing the terms of their contract to the detriment of authors. It's been getting worse and worse for the last few years, and it's now reached a point where their terms are completely exploitative.
I love making audiobooks, but I just can't afford to work with Audible. However, if Audible is eventually reigned in with some sort of anti-trust action, I may start narrating again.
