I'm not sure I'd consider myself a writer. I mean I write and I publish. But that somehow seems secondary to me. I prefer to think of writers as entertainers, or if applied to things like science, as teachers. What's the best thing about that? I suppose seeing your ideas take shape, the feeling of knowing someone was influenced by what you've written. That feels good.
