Hi Kathy. Temperance can end up in some scary life and death situations. Are these frightening situations all your imagination, or are they inspired by situations you found yourself in when you worked in the field?

Kathy Reichs Not every book is based on a specific case, but they're all related to something I've done, such as disaster relief work or human rights work. The dangerous situations that Tempe finds herself in are results of me asking myself what if this happened, or what if that happened.
