What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Papa Paws Do the work. As with any creative endeavor, writing is work. Learn how other writers work and try out those methods until you find one that works for you. Or make up your own. It doesn't matter if you have the latest software or app to write. Use any tool that will allow you to capture your story. I find comfort in the routine of setting up the framework: the boring stuff like making the document the correct dimensions, the right page count and such. For me, that helps me focus and tells my mind that we are going to work on this story for awhile.
