I can't wait to read A Conspiracy of Bones! I was wondering how you've learnt to write fiction? Have you ever received any "official" training in it? I would think it is very different from writing for scientific journals. Thank you very much!

Kathy Reichs I have not received any official training. I am an avid reader, and I have had so many interesting cases that I've worked on it just kind of happened. It took me 2 years to write my first novel, Deja Dead. I've picked up tips and tricks along the way.

do you prefer the protagonist Bones you created for the novels or the quirkier but gentler one of the tv? i like the girl in the book. she seems more at home on the street as well as the lab.
