Ann asked Kathy Reichs:

I love your books! I am also delighted that more women are entering the field of forensic anthropology. What kind of "mind set" do you think it takes for one to be a successful forensic anthropologist? Also, are you still traveling to Canada to assist with cases, teach, etc.? Thank you so much for your wonderful work, both books, and also THE WORK. Be safe and healthy, cher!

Kathy Reichs Both psychologically and physically, the job is not for everyone. You’re working with the dead. Often, you’re working with the not-so-pretty dead. You’re working with violent death very frequently: homicides, suicides, accidental deaths. Dealing with the smells and the maggots and the psychological reality of death is not for
everyone.
