I've written plenty of science fiction, just in short form. See HOW LONG TIL BLACK FUTURE MONTH! If your question is whether I'll ever write a science fiction novel, sure -- if the idea for one ever hits me hard enough.

If it's not too sensitive a topic to discuss here, I want to ask, as a fellow woman of color and a reader/writer of sci-fi, how supportive do you feel SFWA, and the SFF community in general, had been during the whole Sad Puppies debacle? I would hope SFWA is not as bad as RWA but maybe I'm being too optimistic? Thank you!

I first got into you through the Inheritance trilogy and absolutely adore the series. Now my sister introduced me to your Mass Effect Andromeda book Initiation. I absolutely love Mass Effect, and I love your work, so you can see why I’m excited. :) How’d you get that gig? Were you already familiar with the series, was it a learn as you go thing, how does one go about writing in the universe of such a large franchise?
