I have read all your Temperance Brennan books so far and I am really looking forward to cracking your newest. Something I've always wondered is about the cases in each book. Are they something you thought up or are they related in some ways to previous cases you've worked as a forensic anthropologist?

Kathy Reichs Both. I am always thinking of new ideas. Most of what I write is based on experience. If not a case from the lab, then a newspaper or journal article or an incident related to me by a colleague. Anything I do, read hear, or see can be used for the next Temperance Brennan novel.
