For example how Hoa the stone eater ended up trapped inside the red obelisk. Will you release an apocrypha to accompany the Broken Earth Trilogy? I would really love to learn more about the Niess.

N.K. Jemisin Glad you got so engaged! I don't really think of those as plot holes, since what you're talking about are actually worldbuilding elements, not part of the plot. And complex worlds will always leave unanswered questions/unaddressed elements, IMO. I doubt I'll ever get around to answering them, but maybe some fanfic writers will hear your cry and address the issue. :)
