Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Antonio Roberts I've always loved fantasy from an early age with C.S. Lewis, and the video game series Final Fantasy being some of the biggest, but for the Vestige series it was different.
There wasn't really one thing, but more of a combination of many. I had recently become engrossed in D&D and one of the last cartoons of my childhood, "Adventure Time" had ended. These were probably the two biggest inspirations.
For years, I had wondered what if we explored some of the ideas of a post-post appocalyptic fantasy setting. As a dungeon master, I took the basic concept and ran with it.
