What inspired you to write the Seven Realms books?? I am about to start reading them, and was curious as to why you decided to make the series and how it connects with you!

Cinda Williams Chima I was a great fan of George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) series. I loved what he did with characters and politics. So I began writing a high fantasy series for adults. Five hundred thousand words in, my Heir Chronicles series sold. So I set that aside for three years. I had been successful writing for teens, so I decided to take two of the characters in my adult series back to when they were teens. The was the genesis of the Seven Realms series.
