How long did it take you to write your first book? How many rejection letters did you receive before finding an agent to take you on when trying to publish your first book?

Hi Lisa,
It took me a few months to write a first draft of Behind Closed Doors but there are always edits to do so probably about nine months in all. I sent it out to 5 agents and had two rejections and two no-replies - and one acceptance! But before I wrote Behind Closed Doors, I wrote other books that I tried to find an agent for and probably received a total of 20 rejections/no-replies for those. I just kept on trying with each new book I wrote, hoping that one day I would get a positive response!

Hi! Let me start of by saying I loved your book! It's really one of a kind. :) I was wondering, how is your writing process? Do you write the story from A to B, chapter by chapter or do you write in bulks, all in different parts of the story? Or like me; it varies from story to story? :D Lots of love from Norway!
