Richard Derus asked T.J. Klune:

Please explain to me, slowly and with simple words, why there are no filmed versions of BEAR, OTTER, KID series. Whose lap are you not dancing for, and how soon will you start?

T.J. Klune lol, no one should be asking me to dance at all. I may be queer, but I dance like that one Dad who thinks he's got moves, but is in actuality a little drunk and trying to do the worm.

Books to movies are a weird animal. Even if a production company buys the rights to a book, there is no guarantee that it ever gets made. In fact, it probably won't. Rights can be held for *years* without any forward momentum. Take Stephen King, for example (obviously not comparing myself to him): while we're seeing more of his work being filmed for TV/Movies, many of his books have been optioned but never made. (I would *kill* for an adaptation of The Talisman, a book he wrote with Peter Straub.)

That being said, if any of my books are going to be adapted, it'll most likely be my newer works coming out this year. We have a film agent getting ready to shop out the books, and so fingers crossed! Weirder things have happened!
