Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Tansy E. Hoskins Pluto Press got in touch to see if I'd like to re-edit Stitched Up. I started writing and then found I couldn't stop - so much has happened in the fashion industry since 2014 and there was just so much more to say about technology, influencers, the pandemic, workers rights, the climate crisis, colonialism, tax justice... Eventually it turned out I'd re-written so much that Pluto said it was a new book. I think of it as the same skeleton with new flesh on its bones and I can't wait for it to be out in the world.
