Hi, I've read Ella Enchanted and it so much better than the movie, my question is what happened with the script, it was completely different from the book and that's why I was so reluctant to read Ella's story all these years? Thank you.

Gail Carson Levine I had consulting rights on the script, which meant I got to see and comment on the versions, but no one had to listen to me. They did listen to my comments on the dialogue, but not on the plot. I'm glad you finally got to the book!
