Though the Dead Poets Society has a rather different plot, they are similar in the essence of the 'Dark Academia' genre. Personally, I loved this book and it is my newfound favourite, so I highly recommend reading it! Ultimately, it's your choice, but if you're on the fence, I say go for it. :)
