Taylor Hellewell
Taylor Hellewell asked Kendare Blake:

I loved the plot twists in "Three Dark Crowns"... How do you plot your story? I know it's bad form to ask a magician to reveal their tricks, but I was curious what method you used...

Kendare Blake The method I used is the very famous and intricate, “Wow I Hope This is Going Somewhere” method. I start with my characters, settings and central conflict, and then I turn them loose. I’ll sometimes know the Big Beats of the story but many are a surprise and to be honest, those are my favorites. Or other times my plans simply don’t work out the way I think. For instance, I knew a certain queen was going to die, but I thought it would happen much sooner. She just kept squirreling out of it!

Of course, every book is different and they all want to be written their own way.
