Goodreads asked Sara Barnard:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Sara Barnard Writer's block is easy to get over. Put away the manuscript that has you stumped. Pick up a book and read. Then, write something in another genre. That's how my two picture books, Chunky Sugars and Little Spoon, were born - during a bout of writer's block while writing the Everlasting Heart series. Trust me . . . your muse will start talking to you again once you turn your attention fully to another project. They are kind of jealous that way.
