Write from the soul. Clever, plot-driven stories have a place and are lucrative sometimes. But what moves me to write is to write from personal experience. But the writing I enjoy doing is about something mundane/every day and then discovering and sharing the novel, wondrous quality those experiences/things can have when you keep an open mind.
