I realy love your books and i haven't read greatcoats yet. question 1. wich order would you prefer to read your books? asking because im recomemting it to a friend and we dont know where to start. 2. i love how much imagination you used to write spellslinger series and i felt inspired by it. Hi There,
1. The two series are set in the same world but on different continents, so you can read either the Greatcoats or Spellslinger first and it won't be a problem. The Greatcoats is adult fantasy and Spellslinger is young adult, so perhaps that will be the deciding factor for your friend?
2. The best way to bring creativity to your work is to make it as truthful as possible. A lot of new writers (myself included) tend to try to write like others but ultimately our best writing is always when we write from our own voice—letting the characters be reflections of the different parts of our own personalities without trying to hide ourselves. So bring as many of your own feelings and experiences into the story (while making them as fantastical as you need to in order to serve the story) and trust that what feels important to you will also connect with readers.

Such a simple exchange, but I have never laughed so hard in my life. Even though I still have 2 books left, I don't feel like even that is enough time with Brasti, Kest and Falcio and the rest.

Will there be any other opportunity to get "Guide to the Greatcoats, Vol. 1" in the future for people who missed the preorder? And is there still a chance "Greatcoats Encyclopedia" will be published or is that now to be divided into these Guides? And just to say, I loooved both the "Crucible of Chaos" and "Play of Shadows"!
