Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
The Never-Born trilogy came about originally as a screenplay I wrote for a TV pilot while in film school. Called "The Book", it was about the modern day adventures of an apprentice wizard from another world, the spirit of his master, and the earth girl with a mysterious connection to the wizard's world. Together, they followed the trail of the lost Book of Nepharid as it magically affected the ordinary lives of the people it touched, while stopping the evil Stormhand from getting his hands on it. I think the novel turned out better and is more epic in scope.
