Hi Colleen, I’m from Australia - I hear you wanna visit? I work in Social Work (Mental Health & Criminal Justice). Your books kicked off my deep sea dive into Self-Care. I’ve read them all! I swear you just sit down and write every controversial/misunderstood taboo topic down and go “heck, I’m gonna write about the serious sh*t and wrap love alllll up in it”. I love that you do that but I’m also curious as to why?

I would love to visit Australia! It's on my bucket list and I'm so sad about all that's going on with the wildfires right now.
As for my topics, I was a social worker myself for several years before writing my first novel. So maybe working in CPS and hospice in the past somehow helps inspire ideas? I don't know. I do know that I love romance, but when I write, I need more than just a love story. I like the love to be secondary to important things going on in the character's lives, so I sometimes pick an idea or plot twist and build the story around that. Sometimes my characters lead me in certain directions.
