Graduate student, Mara Silvestri, meets her love interest in much the same way that I met my husband, while studying abroad in Rome, Italy. Also, every riveting scene that plays out in this fast-paced mystery is based almost entirely on real life events. From skiing off a cliff in the Swiss Alps, to being chased down and shot at by the Italian Secret Service in the streets of Rome, to joyriding in a borrowed Venetian gondola, to ducking out of an opera in search of a plate of tortellini and romantic conversation--these things really happened! But to what end? It's a mystery...
