Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

E.K. Adams Most teens watching The Mighty Ducks wanted to be on the hockey team—I had a massive crush on Coach Bombay. I was all about the grumpy, reluctant coach with a heart of gold. That stuck with me. So when I started writing, I naturally gravitated toward a no-nonsense hockey coach and the girl who shakes up his world. Add in slow-burn romance, off-limits tension, and some danger, and boom—this book was born. So really, we can all thank my teenage crush on Emilio Estevez!
