Crabby asked Marian Tee:

Hi Marian. Just started reading your books. Completed some of your series and now onto BBF series. I particularly think Nick and Lilac story is one of the best. Very poignant. And I have done my own daydreaming therapy too. BBF series reminds me of some of the bad boys K dramas like Boys Over Flowers and The Inheritors. Are there more? Any historical romance too?

Marian Tee Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know you enjoy my books. TBH I can't recall what my inspiration was for writing the BBFs, but I do think those boys have something to do with it. In particular, the ones in the original Taiwanese version of the drama, Meteor Garden. They were HUGELY popular during my time. And The Inheritors is another favorite series of mine, although I think I've already written most books by the time this show came out (Coincidentally, I'm watching The King now. :D)

The closest to BBF series that I have right now would be the Heart Racers, the biker "frat" studying in the same university as the BBFs.

For historical romance, I think the closest would be my Chalys books, i.e. The Werewolf's Bride, and my upcoming book The Vampire's Mail-Order Bride.

If you love NNL though, I think you would also enjoy Bad Boy Billionaire (it's just as poignant and whimsical imho), Love You Again (another college book, set in Japan), and Truly Madly Deeply (my hands-down favorite, but it's something my readers either love or hate hehe).

Anyway, thank you again for reading my work. Super appreciate it! ❤️
