Lucy likes, and often visits, the marble statue of Ugolino and His Sons by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It represents the agony of imprisonment and I wonder if other readers think perhaps it reflects how Lucy feels about her dysfunctional family life?
