Goodreads asked Sarah Russell:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sarah Russell I had been writing poetry for about 4 years, and finally started sorting and putting poems on the same theme together. I saw that I had the makings of a book of poetry that would be a retrospective of a woman’s life. I got a manuscript together, and I had some good reviews from a manuscript workshop at a conference sponsored by Stockton University. Then I looked for a publisher, found Kelsay Books, and a year later, I had a book published.
