Goodreads asked Mia Jones:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Mia Jones Don't give up and don't let other people bring you down. I'd had written dozens of stories in a thirty-year span but was terrified to put any of my work out there thinking it was not good. A sister and my mom pushed me into submitting one to a publisher. They got back to me within a week with a contract for the book. To say I was surprised was an understatement. LOL Sometimes, you will get rejected, all authors do at one point but keep putting yourself out there because your story will eventually get published even if you have to do it yourself. Stephen King's first story got rejected something like thirty times before it was published.
