Is this book and the series as a whole something a) appropriate and b) would be enjoyed by a 16 year old boy? He likes dystopian novels and devours series of books. Thanks!
Seb I can't really speak for all 16 year old boys who read but I can imagine 16 year old me enjoying this whole series very much if that's helpful.

Whether it's appropriate is very subjective. There is swearing and heavily violent scenes as well as comedy elements and the characters are excellent but at 16 I probably would've been allowed to read this.

I think it's extremely entertaining and worth reading. I love this series. (less)
