Cornelia Funke:
Hi Cornelia! I am a huge fan of your books and I am also an aspiring author. I was hoping you might have some advice for me about sticking to writing. How many words would you recommend trying to write in a day? I also have so many ideas, but I jump around and never finish. I have finally chosen one to see through first, but now I am having trouble finishing my plot and just writing in general. Any advice?

sorry Shallan, I only saw these questions now! Don't count words when you write. Stories don't like to be managed like bank accounts! Walk into the labyrinth of the story you chose and don't turn around when it tries to discourage you with its hedges and traps. Keep walking until the heartbeat of your story gets so loud that you are lost and won't ever give up on it until you learned about all its secrets. Then make your way back and polish the treasure you found over and over again, until you can show it to others:)

Cornelia Funke:
Hi Cornelia, I was wondering if your second Mirrorworld novel, Fearless, had an illustrated version? I love my copy of Reckless with all of the artwork at the beginning of each chapter, as well as the Inkworld novels with pictures at the end of each chapter! If not, have you thought of doing so? I can imagine it is A LOT of work, and I am aware that you published Heartless (more work), but I was just curious. Thanks!
