How do you deal with writer’s block?

Pam Withers Having worked as a journalist, I have long since rejected any admission of writer's block. As a reporter, if you told your editor you have writer's block and can't write that day, you get fired! So you just start writing, and maybe it doesn't start flowing for many paragraphs or pages, but you get somewhere useful eventually. I also think writer's block is often based on a need to go back to your outline and tweak it a bit.
