Hi C.J.! New fan here, just finished gobbling up The Chalk Man and The Hiding Place (on audio - competed them both inside a week), loved them both. Before I read anything else about you, I had definitely picked up on that Stephen King vibe, especially with the latter - I'm also a big fan of his work. My question is: Have you had an opportunity to meet Mr. King yet? Do you know what he thinks of your work?

In The Other People, which I loved by the way, you refer to walking the Green Mile. In most prisons this is referred to as the Last Mile. Was this a deliberate nod to Stephen King, or just another example of how his work is so popular it has come to influence our language, in the way we now call internet searches "googling"?

The question I have is, as an writer myself, do you have any tips to creating creepy stories?
