Come on, if the tv series was to re-create every character of any depth then it'd take about a year to watch it! I don't disagree with every point here, but can we please be a little more realistic in our expectations of translating a 1000 or so novel into a 16 (?) part series. I don't think I'd like to be that script writer. Incidentally, I'm just catching up with the series on Amazon Prime here in Scotland, but I can honestly say that I've just watched the worst episode. Episode 14 entitled "The Search" was just too much to bear. That singing and dancing from Claire?!?! Wow. And I don't mean that in the good sense of the word. (less)
