Edward
Edward asked Kasie West:

PIVOT POINT was fantastic. I noticed you write contemporary and PIVOT POINT and the sequel had some paranormal aspects to it. Which genre is more difficult to write in, contemporary or the paranormal-ish genre?

Kasie West For me, paranormal is harder. Or really anything that requires world building (fantasy, sci-fi, etc). It's like pulling teeth for me to have to come up with my own system of government, rules, geography that are required for books of those genres. That's not to say I don't enjoy writing them, it's just harder for me. Contemporary is my comfort zone. It's where I live and breathe. It's where my heart is, so it's always easier for me to write in that genre. It, of course, has it's own unique challenges, but when comparing the two, paranormal is more difficult for me.
