Edward asked Huntley Fitzpatrick:

You are my favorite contemporary author EV--A! I love your writing, the relationships in your books, and the characters. You're just a great writer. Which book did you have more fun writing in terms of story?

Huntley Fitzpatrick Hi Eddie,

What an honor! Thank you for putting me on your fave list--and for your wonderful note. Good question, too, about fun. The quickie (and true) answer is that I always have fun writing every book (thank heavens, it makes my day job so great). The longer answer: Different characters give me fun in different ways. I was always thrilled to have Tim show up in MLND, and I'm honestly having a blast writing him in TBMLT. Gwen's awkwardness was fun, if painful to write. I LOVE writing love scenes. I hate writing fight scenes, even when they're necessary. When Sam and Jase ran into trouble, I nearly cried. (I know that sounds a little crazy, but most writers I know get bossed around by their characters almost as much as they boss them). Starting a new book is always a huge thrill, as is solving some plot issue that's been driving you crazy.

Whew--sort of went on and on there! Bottom line: thank you for asking, and caring!

Warmly, Huntley
