The hardest thing for me to learn was to just keep on writing, even if the last paragraph somehow sounded wrong. I’d mull for ages over stuff, because what I’d had in my head at 3am didn’t come to live on the page. Then a writer told me, first get it written, then get it right. It’s liberating to allow yourself to move on instead of being stuck. Future drafts will sort it.
