Do I need to read these books in order? Because I am interested in all of them except the "kiss quotient" just sounds, eh "graphic" and that gives me PTSD soo....

Hi! The books work well as stand alones. In fact, in the second book the first book's main characters are only mentioned and "show up" once, if I remember correctly.
Btw, despite the first book's premise, it isn't any more graphic (or has more sex scenes) than the second one. It does have more scenes of a sexual nature, but they aren't graphic, more sensual/erotic/emotional. I don't know if that makes sense lol I don't want to spoil the book in case you change your mind. ;)
To me, who has next to no experience with people on the spectrum, it was very eye-opening to see someone's life on the spectrum from a female perspective - and I found it a gorgeous read overall. <3

You can read the books in any order you choose. The kiss quotient is certainly graphic and very nsfw. As good as the books are I don’t recommend them if you don’t like graphic content, they are very detailed and all of the books contain content like this so they might not be the right fit for you. I hope this helps!

the kiss quotient-
edit: begun a re-read, first few pages and it is a bit harsher than i remembered, quite harsh in fact
if you have PTSD from non-con altercations then you might want to give this one a miss. No one is hurt, although its alluded to that everyone shes previously had relations with shouldn't have done so, and that intimacy shouldn't be like that.
It's not a big thing, its very short and a passing mention but it really stuck out to me and stuck with me, personally.
Hope this isn't too late, but its a fantastic book otherwise, really good.
Regarding the graphic-ness of the romance scenes, the previous comment explains that well

This is an old question that is not even about The Heart Principle, which is #3 in the series & wasn't published until Aug. 2021. All 3 books stand alone in any order, are romances featuring characters on the spectrum with intimacy issues, & have graphic sex. If any of that is a trigger for you, best to avoid this genre all together.

I read the second book first! It was fine.
