I would like to know how others feel about the ending? I loved reading this book and the characters but the end left me feeling disappointed and it just didn't feel "right". I am suspecting it is b/c the character in the end isn't fleshed out enough to me to have such a significant role in the end. I don't feel like I know her and that I would know that she has such a strong feeling about the house. It feels rushed.

Neil I felt it ended perfectly. Knowing that May was likely to buy (or be given) the house. The impression that Mauve still had a presence there. The house…moreI felt it ended perfectly. Knowing that May was likely to buy (or be given) the house. The impression that Mauve still had a presence there. The house being occupied again by the housekeepers. Danny's story ended on a sad note but that also gave the book a bit of magic.(less)
