Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Kathryn Cervera I'm adopted and my birth mom had me when she was 15. When I was 13, I thought what would have happened had she decided to keep me? This lead me to write the rough draft that year. Initially, it was entirely from Marisa's perspective since I was a teenager. As I became an adult, the plot and characters such as John, Lisa, and Danny developed. This novel has been developed over many years.
