Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Katy Cook I really wanted to read a book about the psychology of the tech industry (and the ethics of the industry) but I couldn't find one. After I realized nothing existed that was close to what I had in mind, I'd decided I'd take the plunge and write my first book. I'd been researching the ethics and impacts of tech for so long, I had all the groundwork done, so it just became a matter of writing it up.

I suppose I followed Toni Morrison's excellent advice: “If there's a book that you want to read, but it hasn't been written yet, then you must write it.”
