I would read books by Terry Brooks, Tolkien, Rowlings, C.S. Lewis, Robert Jordan and George Lucas. When I would picture them in my mind, I couldn’t help but want to put my own spin on things. When I was given the time to write, I took the opportunity to start piecing it together.
